Winning debut over hurdles

Winningseverything lived up to his name with a decisive victory on his debut over hurdles at Southwell on Thursday.
Jumping like an old hand he led at halfway on rain softened ground, was clear two out and kept on stoutly to beat Blackfinch by five lengths.
A nice, scopey type by Flemensfirth, he had impressed in winning his bumper on his racecourse debut eleven months ago and wasn’t disgraced in two more bumpers under a penalty.
We always felt Winningseverything would progress once stepping up in trip over hurdles as his schooling has been very good and he certainly looked the part at Southwell on ground he relished.
He was given a lovely ride by Sean Bowen who is an important part of the team and has settled in well to his role as stable jockey following the retirement of Noel Fehily.
While we are looking forward to running Winningseverything again under a penalty in a novice hurdle we will not be in a rush with him so I imagine he will be out again in five or six weeks.
