Winningseverything doubled his score for the season with a facile success under a penalty over two and a half miles at Market Rasen on Thursday in the colours of Paul and Clare Rooney.

With Sean Bowen currently on the sidelines after a fall last weekend we turned to champion jockey Richard Johnson who kept things simple by setting out to make all the running in the Class 4 novice hurdle.

At times the horse’s jumping was less than convincing, most probably because he is still a bit green and was having a good look around out on his own.

But Winningseverything put distance between himself and his pursuers after the final flight and was eleven lengths clear of Smith’s Bay at the line.

He is a lovely horse going the right way and we now have the nice dilemma of choosing between running him again in a similar race under a double penalty or stepping him up in class with the Grade 2 Leamington Novice Hurdle at Warwick in January an option.
